SHRED-IT

We worked with Shred-it to raise their profile in the UK

Shred-it is one of the world’s leading information security companies, serving more than 400,000 global, national and local businesses to ensure the security and integrity of private information. Yet despite its global position, the business did not have a strong media presence in the UK. Visible was tasked with elevating the profile of Shred-it and it’s UK Managing Director Ian Osborne across national and business trade press, to position them as recognised thought leaders around data protection and information security.

With Brexit looming and questions remaining around the impact of GDPR for business, Visible drove a timely and targeted thought leadership programme, positioning Shred-it as a leading business voice on data protection in the UK and placing a series of opinion-led articles by Ian Osborne within key business outlets.

As part of the campaign, Visible devised and commissioned a news-driven research story to lift the lid on office workers’ attitudes to handling sensitive information in the office, resulting in high impact coverage across national titles.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Working with organising expert and influencer Katherine Blackler, Visible also developed a series of advice-led articles on the topical theme of decluttering the office, which were published within HR and financial services publications.

Throughout the six-month campaign, Visible secured 29 pieces of coverage across national and trade media including: The Sun; Metro; People Management; Accountancy Today; The London Economic; Bdaily; Corporate Vision Magazine; Wealth & Finance International; and SmallBusiness.co.uk, among others.
